The formal ceremony for the ARIDO (Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario) Awards was held on October 3rd. Architects, interior designers and product designers competed for the highly covetable awards, recognizing outstanding achievements in a variety of categories.

Douglas Design Studio was honored to win an award for the design of the Serenity Home in the category Live - Residence.

This complete rebuild replaced a house that was characterized by many subdivided rooms, too many of which often sat unused. Instead, this comfortable and modern family home opts for the ease of an open concept ground floor, which ensures all available space is aesthetically and practically utilized. A focus on acoustic comfort and natural materials ensures a lived-in and relaxed feel that encompasses both family living and fuss-free entertaining.
