With their property located in an established pocket of Toronto with spacious, but traditional homes, these clients were looking to create an urban refuge in a contemporary, almost minimalist design. To accommodate them, their three teenage daughters as well as a busy routine as executive professionals, the design concept would have to ensure seamless functionality, yet avoid austerity to instead encapsulate a warm family home.

Therefore, a balance was successfully struck between the traditional, classic architecture and thoroughly modern interior design. Thoughtful details create the relaxed yet sophisticated quality our clients were seeking. This also includes the mindful use of natural materials, such as textured woods and fabrics with a distinct sense of both warmth and simplicity.
